01Who qualifies to use Clear Parting Docs?
It is designed for New Jersey couples who both want the divorce and agree on every term. The free qualification check covers residency, agreement, children, finances, and safety before you pay.
02How long does an uncontested New Jersey divorce take?
Two to four months is typical, but court timing varies by county and case. The software cannot control or guarantee the court’s schedule.
03What will I pay in total?
The software is $299 per couple without children or $399 with children. New Jersey’s filing fee is separate: $300, or $325 with children. An optional formal appearance path adds a $175 court fee for couples who choose it.
04Will we have to go to a courtroom?
Eligible uncontested cases can be decided from written submissions under New Jersey Directive 01-25. A judge always keeps discretion to require a hearing, so the software does not promise that no appearance will ever be needed.
05Can we use it if we have children?
Yes, if you agree on custody, parenting time, child support, and all other terms. The with-children plan includes the related workflow and costs $399 per couple.
06Can I change my name in the divorce?
The interview can collect a request to resume a prior name and place it in the relevant documents. It does not determine whether a particular request should be made.
07What happens if we stop agreeing?
Pause the interview and do not sign documents you no longer agree with. The software is not built to negotiate disputes; mediation or separate legal advice may be the better next step.
08Does Clear Parting Docs give legal advice?
No. It can explain the paperwork and process, but it does not advise either spouse what to accept. Legal questions go to a licensed New Jersey attorney hired and paid directly by you.
09Can I use the product in Spanish?
Yes. The guided experience is available in English and Spanish. The New Jersey court documents are prepared in the form required for filing.
10What is the refund policy?
The final refund terms will be shown clearly before payment. No refund policy should be assumed until those terms are published.
